My stay at Hotel Centrum Istanbul had its ups and downs. On one hand, the location was fantastic, giving me easy access to historical sites and local restaurants. On the other hand, the rooms were quite small and appeared a bit outdated. The staff was generally friendly, but my experience with maintenance wasn't great, particularly with a shower that flooded during my stay.

Rooms
6.0
The room was very small, which made it tight for two people. There was no tea/coffee maker, and it didn't have blackout curtains, making it bright at night.
Service
6.0
While the front desk staff were friendly and helpful, I faced issues with maintenance, particularly with the shower flooding.
Location

The hotel’s location was perfect for sightseeing, with easy access to major attractions like the Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque.
Dining

The breakfast offered a decent selection with great views, making it a pleasant experience to start my day.
Facilities

The facilities were basic but met my needs, including housekeeping and room service.

6.0/10

I had a mixed experience at Hotel Centrum Istanbul. The location was fantastic, being right in the heart of the old city and near all major attractions, but the room was cramped and could have been cleaner. The breakfast was decent but offered limited choices and the bathroom left a lot to be desired. Overall, while the price was reasonable, I felt there are better hotel options available for the same investment.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were quite small and felt outdated. The bathroom was even tinier, and cleanliness was a concern, especially with stained toilets and dust in corners. I had a decent bed, but the lack of space made it uncomfortable at times.
Service
6.0
Staff were generally friendly and helpful, assisting with early check-ins and luggage storage. However, some didn't have a strong command of English, which made communication occasionally tricky.
Location
8.0
The hotel couldn't be more conveniently located, just a short walk from major tourist sites like the Grand Bazaar and the tram line. There's a plethora of restaurants and cafes nearby, making it perfect for exploring.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast had a good variety, but it lacked fresh fruit and the coffee wasn't the best—just instant from a machine. The rooftop terrace for breakfast was a nice touch, though.
Facilities
5.0
Basic facilities were available, including daily housekeeping and Wi-Fi. However, the lack of air conditioning in common areas and the tiny shower facilities were disappointing.

I had mixed feelings about my stay at Hotel Centrum. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from major attractions like the Hagia Sophia, but the sleep quality was poor due to thin walls. While the staff were mostly friendly, I experienced the air conditioning issues and some basic amenities lacking in the room.

Rooms
5.0
My room was smaller than expected and had thin walls, which resulted in poor sleep. It was clean but I found the bed quite hard and there were only small blankets provided.
Service
6.0
Most of the staff were polite and helpful, but some did not greet me. The response regarding the broken air conditioning could have been better.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is one of its best features. It's only a 10-minute walk to all the major attractions, which made exploring the Old City super convenient.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was decent but not really good, lacking fresh fruit and real coffee. The rooftop dining area had great views but got quite hot.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel offers basic amenities like an in-room safe and Wi-Fi, but there were no luggage racks in the room. I also faced issues with the refrigerator and air conditioning.

7.4/10

My stay at Hotel Centrum Istanbul had its highs and lows. The location is fantastic for exploring the heart of the city, with many attractions within walking distance. However, the room was quite small and lacked some essential amenities, which made my time there less enjoyable than I'd hoped. Nevertheless, the breakfast options were decent, and the rooftop view was a pleasant surprise.

Rooms
6.0
I found my room to be quite small, to the point where only one person could really move around at a time. Also, the absence of a kettle was inconvenient. Even though the room was clean and had a small fridge and safe, it felt quite basic. I experienced some issues like the lack of window coverings leading to too much light in the morning.
Service
6.0
Service from the staff was mostly efficient and helpful. They assisted me with booking a bus ticket to Bulgaria, which was really appreciated. However, I did feel that some staff had limited English proficiency, making communication a bit challenging at times.
Location
8.0
The location is one of the hotel's strongest points, as it is very central, making it easy to get around to all the main attractions. Being near the Guhane T1 station was very convenient for accessing different parts of Istanbul. I loved that there were lots of restaurants and cafés nearby.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast spread was decent with a variety of Turkish-style items, and the view from the terrace was really nice. However, I think the dining could use some improvements, like offering fresh fruit, as it felt a bit basic overall.
Facilities
6.0
Facilities included housekeeping and laundry services, which were helpful. However, I noticed the lobby and common areas lacked air-conditioning, making breakfast uncomfortable at times during a warm day. Also, I found the lift quite small, accommodating only a few at a time.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Centrum Istanbul, particularly due to its fantastic location near historic attractions like Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. While the room was clean and spacious, I found the noise levels from the corridors to be quite disruptive. Additionally, the breakfast left much to be desired with limited variety and no fresh fruit. Overall, I appreciated the friendly staff and the vibrant atmosphere of the area.
